We recognise that achieving the right balance between work and family or personal commitments can present a major challenge for employees. Through this procedure and other associated provisions, the Trust aims to support employees in creating more flexible working arrangements. The aim of the procedure is to provide a framework which seeks to balance the needs of the service with the needs of the employee. The underlying principle embedded within this procedure is that of flexibility both from the Trust and individual employees, ensuring that services and care to patients are not adversely affected by flexible working arrangements made with employees.
